Getting started 5 questions

How do I get started with KEENL?

You don’t need an account to try the builder. Head to the homepage, type a few details about your business into the form (name, industry, what you do), and our AI will generate a draft site for you within minutes. When you’re ready to publish, you’ll be guided to create a free account, claim a Site Credit, connect a domain, and pick a launch time. The whole flow is designed so you can go from “I’m just looking” to “my site is live” in a single afternoon.

Do I need any technical or design skills to use KEENL?

No. The builder was made for business owners, not developers. If you can write an email, you can describe what you want and the AI will translate it into a clean, professional site. Coding knowledge is never required, and there’s no “wrong way” to ask for what you need. If you do want to get hands-on later, the editor uses a familiar click-and-type interface — no code, no shortcodes, no hidden markup.

How long does it take to build a website with KEENL?

The first AI draft is generated in under five minutes . From there, the typical small business site (3–6 pages, contact form, basic sections) is finished and live in 1–3 days. More complex builds — e-commerce with product catalogues, custom booking flows, or sites with lots of pre-existing content to migrate — usually take 1–2 weeks. We’ll always give you a realistic timeline before we start, and you’ll see progress in your dashboard the whole way through.

What information do I need to provide to start building?

As little as possible. To kick things off, we need your business name, a sentence or two about what you do, your preferred colour or style direction (or a competitor you admire), and the contact details you want shown on the site. If you have a logo, brand fonts, or existing copy, you can upload those later — they help, but they are not required to begin. We’ll ask for the rest (domain choice, email setup, launch date) only when we actually need it.

Can I preview my website before it goes live?

Always. Every draft lives at a private preview URL you can share with partners, family, or collaborators before launch. Nothing is public until you explicitly say “publish”. Phone-call leads get the same preview environment, plus three fully designed homepage versions to compare. You can request unlimited revisions during preview, and we won’t move to launch until you’ve signed off in writing.

Site Credits & pricing 7 questions

What exactly is a Site Credit?

Think of a Site Credit as a digital deed to a piece of the web. One credit equals one premium lifetime website. It covers the build, hosting, SSL, security patches, daily backups, and your professional email — for the entire life of the site. Credits never expire, never auto-renew, and never surprise you with usage tiers. You buy them once, you use them on your schedule.

How much does KEENL cost in total?

One Site Credit is $119 paid once . That’s the entire lifetime fee for everything we provide: AI build, design support, hosting, SSL, backups, security monitoring, and ongoing small edits. The only other ongoing cost is the domain, which is $11.90/year and is paid directly to the domain registrar — we make no margin on it. So the realistic all-in cost for a small business is around $119 in year one, and about $12 every year after.

Is the $119 really one-time, with no hidden subscriptions?

Yes — that is the entire point of the model. There are no monthly fees, no usage tiers, no “premium” upgrades that unlock features you thought were included, and no auto-renewals. You pay once, you keep the site forever. We’ll never ask for a second payment to keep your site online. The only thing billed separately is the domain renewal (paid to the registrar, not to us) and any custom development work you explicitly request.

Why is the domain $11.9/year charged separately?

Domains are sold and renewed by independent registrars (the organisations that own the global domain system). KEENL doesn’t take a cut on this — we pass the registrar’s wholesale price straight to you at the same $11.90/year cost. Billing it separately keeps our promise that the Site Credit is a true one-time fee, and it means if you ever want to move your domain to another registrar, you can do it freely without any contract tying you to us.

Do Site Credits expire?

No. Your Site Credits never expire. You can buy one today and build the site five years from now — it will still be honoured at the original $119 price with the full lifetime benefits. There is no clock ticking, no dormancy fee, and no pressure to use a credit before a “deadline”. We hold credits in your account indefinitely, ready to be redeemed whenever your business is ready to launch.

Can I transfer, gift, or resell my Site Credit?

Yes, in every direction. Site Credits are fully transferable. You can gift one to a friend, hand it to a client as a service, or list it on a marketplace for resale. The lifetime benefits stay attached to the credit itself, not the original buyer, so whoever holds the credit enjoys the same rights. This is also a quiet safety net: if your business changes direction, you can always recover value by selling the credit rather than letting it sit unused.

Will the price of Site Credits increase in the future?

Almost certainly, yes. Our infrastructure costs grow as the number of hosted sites grows (more servers, more engineers, more support hours), and at some point we’ll need to raise the price to keep the lifetime promise sustainable. Early-bird buyers are locked in at the current $119 price regardless of when they use the credit, so buying early isn’t just a question of timing — it’s a way to hedge against future price increases. Some of our existing customers have already resold early credits at a profit.

Domains & professional email 4 questions

How does the custom domain work with KEENL?

Every site comes with a free yourname.keenl.site subdomain so you can preview your work immediately. When you’re ready to look professional, you can register a real domain (e.g. yourbrand.com ) at $11.90/year through our partner registrar. We handle the DNS, SSL certificate, and propagation — you just pick the name. Once connected, your site loads on the real domain within minutes, with HTTPS automatically enabled.

Can I use a domain I already own?

Absolutely. If you already have a domain registered with another provider (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Google Domains, etc.), you can point it to KEENL by updating two DNS records. We provide a step-by-step guide with the exact values to enter, and our support team can walk you through it on a call if you prefer. There’s no penalty for bringing your own domain, and you can keep renewing it wherever you bought it.

How does the professional email (contact@mydomain.com) work?

Every Site Credit includes a professional email inbox at your domain — for example, contact@yourbrand.com . We set up the MX records, configure SPF/DKIM/DMARC for deliverability, and give you a clean webmail interface plus IMAP/SMTP access so you can use Gmail, Outlook, or Apple Mail. You can also forward the address to an existing Gmail if you want to keep your current workflow — both options are supported.

Can I create multiple email addresses on my domain?

Yes. You can create as many aliases or inboxes as you need — hello@ , sales@ , support@ , you@yourname.com , etc. There’s no per-mailbox fee, no storage tier, and no upgrade prompt. Each address uses the same underlying mailbox infrastructure, so you can manage them all from one place or split them across team members as your business grows.

Building & features 6 questions

What kind of websites can KEENL build?

Almost anything a small business or professional realistically needs: landing pages, multi-page company sites, portfolios, service businesses, restaurants, clinics, studios, agencies, e-commerce stores, booking-based businesses, and more. The output is a full website , not just a single landing page — meaning you get Home, About, Services, Contact, and any extra pages you need. Each site is responsive, SEO-friendly, and ready to scale up as your business grows.

Will my website look good on mobile devices?

Yes — every site we build is mobile-first by default. We don’t just “shrink” a desktop layout; we design each section with a dedicated mobile experience in mind, then test across iPhone, Android, tablet, and desktop breakpoints. The result is a site that feels intentional on a 5-inch screen, not an afterthought. Google also indexes the mobile version, so this is good for your SEO on top of looking good.

Can my website include a contact form, booking, or shopping cart?

All three, and more. Contact forms are standard on every site — messages land in your inbox, your CRM, or wherever you want. Appointment booking integrates with common calendar tools and can handle availability rules, reminders, and payments if needed. Shopping carts support physical products, digital downloads, and simple service packages with Stripe or PayPal. We also integrate with most third-party tools you’d expect: Mailchimp, HubSpot, Calendly, Klaviyo, and many more.

Can I edit the website myself after it’s launched?

Yes, and we actively encourage it. The editor is intentionally simple: click any text to change it, drag images to swap them, add new sections from a library of pre-built blocks. There’s no code, no “developer mode” required, and nothing that can break the design. If you’d rather not touch it yourself, just send the change to our support team and we’ll do it for you for free — that’s what lifetime support means.

Do you provide hosting, SSL, and backups?

All included, forever, with the Site Credit. You get managed hosting on fast SSD servers, a free SSL certificate (so the site loads on HTTPS), automatic daily backups retained for 30 days, a global CDN, and 24/7 uptime monitoring. We patch the underlying software, handle DDoS protection, and renew infrastructure as standards evolve. You don’t need to think about any of this — it’s the “lifetime” in lifetime website.

Will my website be SEO-friendly and fast?

Yes on both. Every site is built with semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, meta tags, Open Graph data, structured data where applicable, image lazy-loading, and modern Core Web Vitals targets. We submit your sitemap to Google Search Console on launch, and we keep the site fast as standards evolve. You retain full ownership of the content and can run any analytics or marketing tools on top of it (GA4, Plausible, Hotjar, etc.).

Lifetime support 5 questions

What does “lifetime support” mean exactly?

It means you have a real human team to turn to for as long as your site is live with us — at no extra cost. There are no support tiers, no ticket quotas, and no “premium” customers. You get the same people who build, host, and maintain the platform answering your questions. Whether you’ve been with us for two months or ten years, you can email support@keenl.com and get a thoughtful response from someone who knows your site.

What kinds of edits and changes are free after launch?

Practically everything that falls under “small edits” — changing text, swapping or cropping images, updating prices, fixing typos, tweaking layout, adding a section, removing a section, adjusting colours, updating opening hours, refreshing the team page, adding a new testimonial, and so on. If a non-technical person could describe the change in a sentence (“please change the phone number on the contact page”), it’s free. We don’t bill by the hour for these.

What about bigger updates or custom feature development?

When you need work that’s outside the “small edit” boundary — for example, building a custom product configurator, integrating with an internal API, designing a members-only area, or developing a custom booking logic — we quote it as a separate project. Pricing is fair, fixed, and agreed in writing before any work starts. Many customers use us for these projects too, because we already know their site and brand inside-out.

How do I contact the KEENL support team?

Email support@keenl.com for the fastest response — we aim to reply within two business hours . If you’re on a paid custom development project, you also get a private Slack channel or scheduled call with your project lead. During the initial build phase, you’re paired with a dedicated contact who knows your project, and you can book a call any time without going through a chatbot or a phone tree.

What are your support hours and response times?

Email support is monitored Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm in your local timezone , with most messages replied to within two hours during business hours. We’re flexible outside those hours for active build projects and existing customers with urgent needs. Phone-call promotion leads get a direct line to their assigned account contact. We don’t believe in 24/7 chatbots pretending to be humans — when you need help, you get a real person.

Phone call promotion 3 questions

What do I get from the phone call promotion?

Two things, designed to make the first step feel risk-free. First, a free domain for the first year , saving you the $11.90 registrar fee. Second, free design support : our design and development team will create three different homepage versions for you to review, with no upfront cost. You only pay once you’ve chosen a direction and we’re refining it to your taste.

How does the free design support work for phone call leads?

After your call, we book a short discovery session to understand your business, your customers, and the vibe you want. Our team then designs three distinct homepage directions — for example, a clean minimalist version, a bold image-led version, and a content-rich version. You review them in a private preview environment and pick a favourite (or mix elements from multiple versions). We then refine your chosen direction in detail, with unlimited rounds of feedback, until you’re happy.

What if I don’t like any of the 3 design versions?

We keep going. The three versions are starting points, not a take-it-or-leave-it choice. If none of them feel right, we go back to the discovery notes, identify what specifically didn’t connect, and design new directions based on your feedback. This is part of the free design support — there is no limit on rounds, and you don’t pay anything until you’re genuinely happy with what we produce and ready to launch.

Account, billing & policies 3 questions

Can I cancel my account or get a refund?

Because the Site Credit model is one-time and lifetime, there’s no subscription to cancel. If you change your mind within 14 days of purchase and before you’ve used a credit to build a site, we’ll refund you in full — no questions asked. After a site has been built and launched, the credit is considered used and non-refundable, but you can still keep the site live indefinitely or transfer the credit to someone else (see the Site Credit articles above).

What happens to my website if I stop using KEENL?

You have three options. One: keep the site live forever at no cost — that’s the lifetime promise. Two: request a full export of your content (text, images, layout, contacts) in portable formats so you can move it elsewhere. Three: resell or gift the underlying Site Credit, since credits are fully transferable. You’re never locked in, and your content is never held hostage.

Is my website and customer data secure?

Yes. All sites run on encrypted HTTPS, our infrastructure is hosted in secure data centres with 24/7 monitoring, and we run daily off-site backups retained for 30 days. We follow industry-standard practices for access control, password storage, and patch management, and we never sell or share customer data. If you collect data through forms or e-commerce, you remain the data controller — we just provide the secure infrastructure underneath.
